Agree you weren't on track - don't agree you are back on track. That said, almost required medical attention reading Katy "only 3378 votes ? ! " Gordons blog with Jinky Jakie James Harrison claiming that he'd had every call in four streets saying they'd vote for her. I know he's a egomaniacal misfit but she should have realised that before repeating his nonsense in her much lauded and plugged blog (only by Scottish Lib Dem blog love in ). That said if he should ever phone me up I am prepared to say anything to get him off my line- may explain it!

Keep battering away and you might catch the Greens in the GE - although don't count on it! Got a leaflet recently - love the "straight fight with Labour bit " not sure Wee Ann sees you lot as anything to worry about ; think Patrick Grady might be of greater interest !!

Have to agree the race for the selection may well turn out to be more gripping than the actually General Election vote. As I posted last weekend I totally agree with your last paragraph.

Couldn't agree more Ruaraidh.

Jo you are entirely wrong, I'm afraid the party will lose a lot of support if the tuition fees policy is axed, mine included.

It is a RIGHT for free education, not a privalage. I don't care how much it costs, the principal is what counts. I joined the Lib Dems because they were clear in how much they cared for the concerns of young people!

Supporting fees will be the biggest mistake the party can EVER make.

No - it's a lousy policy that IS unaffordable (that is the whole point by the way) and does nothing to deal with increasing inequaity.

Having free fees and grants didn't increase the number of people from diverse backgrounds going to University.

But all the people on salaries much, much lower that most grduates have to pay for it!

It is a lousy policy and one that won't win us any votes - aprt from perhaps a few university towns but the rest of us are fed up with it.

Couldn't agree more! It's a great, flagship policy and one that makes us genuinely different from the other two parties.
